With 1 September comes not only Spring, but also the addition of a 'social responsibility' initiative to our offering. 

WineWeb and heart (www.heartglobal.org) have teamed up for a good cause. We now have a selection of 3 CHARITY MIXED CASES, which proceeds from the purchase of each will go towards heart who then invest in NGO's within the Cape Winelands to help children with Foetal Alcohol Syndrome, illiteracy and severe learning disabilities.

White varieties
ChardonnayVery versatile and almost always dry wine; may be wooded or unwooded.
Chenin BlancMade either in dry, semi-sweet or dessert wine style. Easy drinking fruity style.
GewürztraminerMade in dry, off-dry, semi-sweet or dessert style. Very floral, fragrant character.
RieslingStyles range, dry through to Noble Late Harvest wines. Mostly off dry in SA. Fragrant aromas and flavours.
Sauvignon BlancLight to medium-bodied and dry with racy refreshing palate. Sometimes wooded

Red varieties
Cabernet SauvignonFull bodied, robust red wine nearly always wooded. Higher tannins offer good aging potential.
MerlotElegant medium to full-bodied wines offering a velvety feel with soft integrated tannins.
Pinot NoirLight to medium-bodied depending on wood maturation. A fruity, lively red wine.
PinotageSA grape varietal. Style varies from a light-bodied, fruity wine to full bodied with great aging potential.
Shiraz/SyrahRich medium to full-bodied wines that are generally well oaked.
