Matured for 3 years on the lees. Yeasty, toasty and creamy on the nose. Zesty mousse. Broad, creamy and nutty palate. Slightly smoky and a lovely lingering palate. This is a structured and elegantly matured wine. Drink now or over the next two years. Every bottle has its dégorgement date on the back label.
Excellent as an aperitif, good accompaniment to creamy chicken, orange duck and seafood.
Inspired by my birthstone the rare, beautiful and highly sought after Tanzanite – this singular wine expresses my passion for creating unique sparkling wines in the time-honored traditional way. Dedicated to all who appreciate the finer things in life.
Grapes are sourced through the Western Cape. There is a specific quality and style that’s created. This can only be obtained by buying in the grapes used for making Tanzanite. The grapes come from Robertson (gives flintiness), Rawsonville (adds a creamy, clean taste) and Stellenbosch (gives longevity and structure). Yields are kept in check through aggressive pruning and suckering.
